Sport switch
There is a spring-loaded switch in the knob of the selector
lever with which it is possible to change between NORMAL and SPORT gear
shifting programs. NORMAL is always connected from the start. The SPORT
program means that the transmission stays longer than normal in each
gear and that the gear shifting points are adapted to performance. The
gear shifting points for light acceleration and full acceleration are,
however, identical for NORMAL and SPORT. Activation of the switch gives
0 V (ground) on pin 20 of the TCM.
When the SPORT program has been selected, the SPORT indicator lamp comes
on in the main instrument.
The SPORT program is disconnected if the switch is activated again, if
the ignition is switched off, during emergency operation (limp-home) or
when the WINTER gear shifting program is activated.
