Horn
Fault symptom
Horn sounds continuously.
Diagnostic procedure
1 Check the horn

Disconnect the horn.

Connect the test lamp between the 1-pin horn connector, with the black lead, and Batt+.
Does the lamp light up?

yes
Continue with point 2.
|
no
Change the horn.
2 Check the horn's ground connection

Check the continuity between the 1-pin horn connector, with the black lead, and the alarm control module, pin 11.

Also take a resistance reading across the connector and ground.
The resistance should be < 1 ohm.
Is the resistance correct?

yes
Continue with point 3.
|
no
Repair or replace the wiring harness.
3 Final check
Check to see if the fault symptom remains.
Is the problem still present?

yes
See "Before replacing a control module".
|
no
The remedial measures taken were correct or the fault is of intermittent nature.
