Diagnostic help | - | Ignition switch in the "ON" position | - | Press the left-hand button on the remote control five (5) times and the LED will go out | - | The car can be started | - | Ignition switch in the "OFF" position | - | Restart If the car starts, the control module has no +30 power supply. Diagnostic procedure 1 Check the transport fuse | - | Check that the MAXI 1 fuse is intact and live. | - | Connect the test lamp to the fuse and a good grounding point. If the output side of the fuse is live, the test lamp should light up. Does the lamp light up? | yes Continue with point 2. | no Change the fuse or continue fault diagnosis as described in Service Manual 3:2 Electrical system, +30 power supply. 2 Check fuse 23 | - | Check that fuse 23 is intact and live. | - | Connect the test lamp to the fuse and a good grounding point. If the output side of the fuse is live, the test lamp should light up. Does the lamp light up? | yes Continue with point 3. | no Change the fuse or check the wiring between the MAXI 1 fuse and fuse 23. If necessary, repair or replace the wiring. 3 Check the wiring connected to the VSS electronic control module | - | Check the wiring harness for continuity between fuse 23 and pin 25 of the VSS electronic control module. Is the wiring harness correct? | yes Continue with point 4. | no Repair or replace the wiring harness. 4 Final check Start the car and check to see if the fault symptom remains. Is the problem still present? | yes See "Before replacing a control module". | no The remedial measures taken were correct or the fault is of intermittent nature.
