Electronic reverse gear detent
If you shift to R from D, 3, 2 or 1 when the car is travelling above a certain speed, the transmission control module will send a signal to solenoid S1 so that reverse gear cannot be engaged (brake B3 releases).
The electronic reverse gear detent is disengaged when the speed of the car falls below 7 km/h (4 mph) or the selector lever is moved to a position other than R.
