Checking hydraulic pressure

This test must not take longer than 5 seconds! Checking is not recommended for the turbo version.

| 1. |
Remove the test plug from the transmission casing and connect an oil pressure gauge.
| 2. |
Chock all four wheels on the car.
| 3. |
Apply the handbrake fully.
| 4. |
Press the brake pedal down hard.
| 5. |
Start the engine and check the idling speed (
6-cyl:
800 rpm
4-cyl:
900 rpm).

Move the selector lever to position D and check the system pressure as indicated in the table.
