| | Kick-down switch, replacement | To remove | 1. | Remove the left-hand side section of the centre console. | 2. | Fold up the carpet. | 3. | Gently work out the switch and pull it straight up (it is pressed in place on a sheet metal bracket). | 4. | Unplug the electrical connector. | Fitting | 1. | Plug in the kick-down switch press it into place on the sheet metal bracket. | Important Important | It is important to make sure that the switch is pressed firmly into place on reassembly as the kick-down function will otherwise be activated when the accelerator is in the wrong position. Apply a little silicone spray to facilitate fitting. | | 2. | Fit the carpet back in place. | 3. | Fit the side section back in place. | 4. | Check/adjust the kickdown function, see .
