| | Replacing brake pipe | Removal | 1. | Clean the connections of the damaged brake pipe. | 2. | Unscrew the brake pipe and any other securing clip. | Important | Use a brake wrench for fitting and removing nipples. | | 1. | Insert plastic plugs into the open connections and removed the damaged brake pipe. | Fitting | | | Warning | | Brake pipes should not be bent or strained after installation. | | 1. | Using compressed air, blow the new brake pipe clean. | 2. | Position the pipe, remove the plastic plugs and tighten the connecting nuts. Tightening torque 15 Nm (11 lbf ft) | 3. | Bleed the brake system. See section "Bleeding the brake system". | 4. | Check the tightness of all brake pipe connections.
