Temperature warning for over-heated catalytic converter
|
Fault-tracing
When current (+15 circuit) is applied to relay pin 4, the warning lamp is grounded and comes on for about 3 seconds. Normally the warning lamp then goes out and does not come on again until the temperature exceeds the specified limit. If the lamp stays on, there is a break in the temperature sensor circuit.
| 1. |
Check that fuse 17 in the dashboard's distribution centre is intact and that there is voltage to the temperature sensor and to the relay.
| 2. |
Check connectors, wiring and ground connections.
