As a service solution, new adjustable washer jets have been developed. If complaints of unsatisfactory washer operation are made by customers, the following action may be taken. With effect from chassis number S2021626 (3D/5D), S7016785 (Cabriolet), 9000 model washer jets are also fitted to 900 models. In order for this to be possible, the holes in the bonnet have been modified. Jets 46 73 208 do not fit in these holes. | Materials 46 73 208 Washer jet 43 73 569 Check valve | Procedure Both washer jets should be changed and the non-return valve cleaned. If the valve cannot be cleaned, change it as well. | 1. | Remove the washer jets by squeezing their locking lugs on the underside of the bonnet inwards. | Important | Be careful not to damage the paintwork. | | 2. | Remove the hose. | 3. | Remove the non-return valve and clean it with compressed air or change it if it cannot be cleaned. | 4. | Fit the valve and connect the hoses to each of the jets. Press the new nozzles into the bonnet, making sure they snap into place. | 5. | Top up with equal parts of water and washer fluid. | 6. | Check that the washer is working and adjust the jets, see Fig. | Standard time information As standard time list. | Warranty information Regular warranty rules apply.
